The tiny, slender module which are plugged to the motherboard are called era memory chips. These are intermediaries between a hard drive and the processor. Speeding up the transferring of data and shedding off the unwanted data is a major component to enable the process and programs on the computer. RAM cannot store data when the power is off but flash drives can store data in this electronic part of the computer both the program and data information appear to be identical. The basic types of memory chip; Volatile, loses its contents when power is removed and a non-volatile memory chip does not lose its contents when power is removed.
The memory chip falls under the two main types of computer memory: The Read Only Memory, which is fixed in size and is permanent following the instructions when the computer is switched on, The Random Access Memory major component comprising of the secondary storage is employed in achieving of data and in running programs. Memory chip speeds up the access to stored data making it remarkably faster to that of the provision of secondary storage. Memory chips though just a small piece of semi conducting material contains countless electronic components. The latest chipsets are designed to interleave accesses with maximum efficiency.
The memory chip is very important as it supports the computer’s physical workshop to function so that the processors instructions are kept for sometime even after the power supply is turned off. PC memory chip is needed to keep intact the instructions, programs and data of the computer.
