Uses of the RCA cable

The RCA cable is also very well-known as the RCA connectors. This has got its name from the Radio Corporation of America. This was one of the first companies to introduce cables into the market. The RCA cables have been used from the 1940’s. These wires are still more efficient as well as better. Initially, it was introduced to take place of the cables used in audio device connectors. Later on, people started using it to connect mono graph players to an output device.
The plugs to which these cables are connected are known as the ‘phono plugs’. The plugs of RCA cables have 3 different colors in order to make color differentiation. The three colors over the plug of the RCA are yellow, red and white. Each color has a different purpose. One color is for video output. And the other two colors are for left as well as the right speakers. Also, one is enough for the mono. It is said that the plug with the protruding end is a male plug. Also, there is a ring of certain metal which protect the user from any shock or risk of any uncertainty.
Almost all the MP3 players, DVD players, as well as related devices use the same cables. There is also a common disadvantage of using RCA connector cables. In order to add every device the user needs to add an extra connector. The RCA cable is also used in a PlayStation as well as other gaming devices.
