LaCie Lego Brick Hard Drive for the Stylish Geek.

LaCie, leading manufacturer of computer peripherals for different platforms has come up with a hard drive that has the look of a huge Lego brick but the functionality of an operational hard drive.

LaCie Lego Brick Hard drives are of four kinds based on their storage capacities – 160GB, 250GB, 300GB and 500GB. White is the color of the 160GB model while the 300GB one has a blue hue. Both 250GB & 500GB are in red.

The interface they work with is USB2.0 to get enhanced data read/write speeds. Data transfer rate is up to 480mbits/s; RPM is 7200. Hi-speed USB 2.0 cable comes with the package.

You do not require any setup for these Lego hard drives – simply plug them in and begin storing data. However, to ensure ease in saving and protecting your data, backup software is there in the hard drives.

Available in desktop and mobile editions, the prices of these portable devices range from $120 to $400 depending on the model and their features.
